Mouse Anti-Factor VII

  • Protein Background: Provide a concise description of Fibromodulin, e.g., “Fibromodulin, encoded by the FMOD gene, is a 42kDa protein and a member of the leucine-rich repeat proteoglycans (SLRPs). It plays a role in cell growth and differentiation and shares sequence homology with biglycan and decorin.”—Briefly explain if the antibody is specialized or optimized, highlighting any unique manufacturing processes that enhance quality or effectiveness (Production Background).
  • Immunogen: Describe immunogen used, e.g., “A KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide from human Fibromodulin.”
    • Host Species: Mouse
    • Target Species: Human
    • Conjugation: Unconjugated
    • Clonality: Monoclonal
    • Isotype: IgG

    Purification

This antibody is purified by immunoaffinity chromatography using an immunogen peptide derived from Factor VIIrecombinant protein (NovoSeven), coupled to Sepharose 4B.

Overview

Factor VII (EC 3.4.21.21), also known as blood-coagulation factor VIIa, is a serine protease involved in the coagulation cascade that helps blood clot. It is activated to factor VIIa, which plays a critical role in hemostasis by initiating the activation of other clotting factors. The recombinant form of Factor VIIa (eptacog alfa, NovoSeven) has been FDA-approved for treating uncontrolled bleeding in hemophilia patients and is sometimes used in cases of severe, uncontrollable bleeding. However, its use has been associated with safety concerns. A biosimilar form of activated Factor VII (AryoSeven) is also available but has not made a significant impact in the market.
