Mouse Anti-Human Fibromodulin

  • Fibromodulin is a 42 kDa protein belonging to the family of small leucine-rich repeat proteoglycans (SLRPs). It contains up to four N-linked keratan sulfate chains attached to its core protein and shares significant sequence homology with biglycan and decorin. Fibromodulin plays a key role in the structural integrity of the extracellular matrix, especially in tissues like cartilage and skin.

    • Host Species: Mouse
    • Target Species: Human
    • Conjugation: Unconjugated
    • Clonality: Monoclonal
    • Isotype: IgG
    • Form: Liquid

Purification

This antibody is purified via immunoaffinity chromatography, using an immunogen peptide derived from human Fibromodulin protein, coupled to Sepharose 4B.

    • Storage Instructions: Store at -20°C upon receipt. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. The product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid.
    • Storage Buffer: Phosphate Buffered Saline (PBS, pH 7.4), with stabilizers and ≤0.09% sodium azide.

For extended storage, aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Centrifuge if product is not completely clear after standing at room temperature.

This antibody is suitable for various research applications:

  • Western Blotting (WB)
  • Immunohistochemistry (IHC-P, IHC-Frozen)
  • Dot Blot
  • Immunomicroscopy
  • Immunofluorescence (IF)
  • Flow Cytometry (FCM)

Recommended starting dilutions:

  • Western Blotting: 3-5 µg/ml
  • IHC (Paraffin/Frozen): 5-10 µg/ml
  • Immunofluorescence: 5-10 µg/ml
  • Flow Cytometry: 5-10 µg/ml

Note: Optimal dilutions should be determined by the end-user based on experimental conditions.

Overview

The Mouse Anti-Human Fibromodulin antibody is designed to target Fibromodulin, a small leucine-rich repeat proteoglycan encoded by the FMOD gene. Fibromodulin plays an important role in extracellular matrix organization and is involved in tissue remodeling. This antibody is useful for researching fibrous tissue and cartilage as well as studying diseases related to connective tissue disorders.
