Mouse Anti-Human TAZ
- Background
- Product Details
- Storage & Handling
- Applications
WWTR1 (also known as TAZ) is a transcription coactivator that functions in the Hippo signaling pathway, which is involved in controlling organ size and suppressing tumor growth. This protein acts by restricting cell proliferation and promoting apoptosis through phosphorylation and inactivation of YAP1 oncoprotein and WWTR1/TAZ. TAZ also enhances the activation of genes such as PAX8 and NKX2-1.
- Form: Liquid
- Host Species: Mouse
- Target Species: Human
- Conjugation: Unconjugated
- Clonality: Monoclonal
- Isotype: IgG
Purification
This antibody is purified via immunoaffinity chromatography, using an immunogen peptide derived from the WWTR1/TAZ protein, coupled to Sepharose 4B.
- Storage Instructions: Store at -20°C upon receipt. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. The product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid.
- Storage Buffer: 10 mM sodium HEPES (pH 7.5), 150 mM NaCl, 100 μg/ml BSA, and 50% glycerol.
For extended storage, aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Centrifuge if product is not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
This antibody is suitable for the following research applications:
- Western Blotting (WB)
- Immunohistochemistry (IHC-P, IHC-Frozen)
- Dot Blot
- Immunomicroscopy
- Immunofluorescence (IF)
- Flow Cytometry (FCM)
Recommended starting dilutions:
- Western Blotting: 3-5 µg/ml
- IHC (Paraffin/Frozen): 5-10 µg/ml
- Immunofluorescence: 5-10 µg/ml
- Flow Cytometry: 5-10 µg/ml
Note: Optimal dilutions should be determined by the end-user based on experimental conditions.
Overview
The Mouse Anti-Human TAZ/WWTR1 antibody targets WWTR1, also known as TAZ, a transcription coactivator encoded by the WWTR1 gene. TAZ plays a pivotal role in the Hippo signaling pathway, which regulates organ size control and tumor suppression. By modulating cell proliferation and apoptosis, TAZ functions as a downstream regulatory target in this pathway. It also enhances the activation of genes such as PAX8 and NKX2-1 (TTF1).
