• Kallikrein-3 (KLK3), also known as Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA), is a member of the kallikrein-related peptidase family. PSA is primarily produced by prostate gland epithelial cells and secreted into the seminal fluid where it plays a crucial role in liquefying semen and aiding sperm motility. It is also believed to assist in dissolving cervical mucus to facilitate sperm entry into the uterus.

  In clinical settings, PSA levels are used as a marker for prostate health, and elevated PSA is often associated with prostate cancer, though it may also indicate benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) or prostatitis. As a result, PSA is widely used in prostate cancer diagnostics and research.

  Purification

  This antibody is purified via immunoaffinity chromatography, using an immunogen peptide derived from the KLK3protein, coupled to Sepharose 4B.

• Storage Instructions: Store at -20°C upon receipt. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. The product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid.
• Storage Buffer: Phosphate buffered saline (pH 7.4), contains stabilizer and ≤0.09% sodium azide.

For extended storage, aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Centrifuge if product is not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
