Mouse Anti-Human CD63
CD63 is a 30-60 kDa glycoprotein belonging to the tetraspanin family. It is a lysosomal protein expressed on various cell types, including monocytes, macrophages, activated basophils, fibroblasts, smooth muscle cells, and platelets. CD63 is found in late endosomes, lysosomes, and secretory vesicles and cycles among these compartments. It is also a key marker for extracellular vesicles.
Tetraspanins like CD63 are involved in multiple cellular processes, including activation, adhesion, differentiation, and tumor invasion. CD63 associates with integrins, co-receptors, and other proteins to form tetraspanin-enriched microdomains. CD63 has been implicated in tumor progression, and its deficiency is associated with Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome, a disorder related to platelet dysfunction and lysosomal storage defects.

Overview
Mouse Anti-Human CD63 is a monoclonal antibody targeting the human CD63 protein. This antibody is suitable for a variety of applications, including Western Blotting (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC, both paraffin and frozen sections), Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry, and Immunomicroscopy. It was developed using a KLH-conjugated synthetic peptide derived from human CD63 protein for immunization.
