Mouse Anti-E-Cadherin

• E-Cadherin (CDH1) is a protein that plays a crucial role in cell-cell adhesion within epithelial tissues, maintaining tissue integrity. Its downregulation or loss of function has been linked to tumor progression and metastasis, as it decreases the strength of cellular adhesion, allowing cancer cells to invade surrounding tissues. This protein is essential in the study of breast cancer, particularly in diagnosing invasive lobular carcinoma, where its expression is significantly reduced or absent compared to invasive ductal carcinoma.

  Purification

  This antibody is purified via immunoaffinity chromatography, using an immunogen peptide derived from the E-Cadherin protein, coupled to Sepharose 4B.

  • Storage Instructions: Store at -20°C upon receipt. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. The product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid.
  • Storage Buffer: Phosphate buffered saline (pH 7.4), contains stabilizer and ≤0.09% sodium azide.

  For extended storage, aliquot and store at -20°C or below. Centrifuge if product is not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
